Fitango is an Internet startup in stealth mode, launching its closed-beta in Q4 of 2009. Fitango`s team is located in downtown New York (financial district) and in Boston. The company is comprised of a team of experienced and highly motivated individuals.
As the business development manager, you will be a core member of our leadership group. You will immediately have the ability to drive our overall direction for strategic partnerships, revenue objectives and business strategy. Responsibilities include developing and executing business strategies; identifying, negotiating and managing strategic relationships with partners; monitoring the competitive landscape; analyzing key metrics and business trends relating to our product and identifying business initiatives that will enhance our product offering.
Prerequisites:
• 5+ years experience in business development at a high tech company. Web technology and or/Web 2.0 preferred. Minimum of three years online community experience.
• BA/BS in a field related to marketing, public relations, or information technology. MBA preferred.
Experience:
• Recent experience working for a startup, including building the company’s business plan from scratch.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize data to evaluate complex issues and generate detailed strategies.
• Familiarity with Internet technologies and trends.
• Experience managing and growing an online business and community through utilizing web and social media tools.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills – including experience in high-level business conversations and presentations
